Founding members of the original 'Rock In Opposition' [R.I.O.] movement and the inventors of 'Chamber Rock', mythic belgian band Univers Zero have continued to change and grow and develop over their entire career, while still keeping a ensemble sound and spirit that is easily recognizable.
These recordings were unavailable before as LP format.

Longstanding Belgian chamber rockers and avant-garde pioneers led by drummer/composer Daniel Denis, Univers Zero was formed in 1974 with co-composer and guitarist Roger Trigaux (who left the band in 1980).
This 2LP documents the final 1980s line-ups before

the band’s long sabbatical from recording and touring. Despite many line-up changes over the years, their overall sound remained fairly consistent.

Avec cet album de mai 2005 du groupe belge Present, je complète ma collection d'albums de ce groupe progressif de haut niveau. Il y a dans cette musique une présence d'urgence et de pression sous fond d'ombres insaisissables et d'oppositions discontinues. Et puis réécoutez cette vue renouvelée de la pièce musicale de 1985 'Le poison qui rend fou' est un petit bonheur de succulence à répétition. Merci pour cette parution qui fait énormément plaisir. So this really is my first album from the Universe Zero universe? I seem to have missed something there... Thanks for Cuneiform Records' weekend specials for putting the finger in exactly the right place! (My favorite track in fact is the opener, "Promenade Au Fond D'un Canal", an amazing long-track with a nice gloomy start (think "Set the Control for the Heart of the Sun" in the hands of the Crimson King) but never a dull moment, but, alas, that track wasn't selectable....).
